First impressions for Adsense websites

October 11th, 2006

First impressions count when we meet people. It determines if we like them, trust them or attracted to them. First impressions with Adsense websites are even more important. They make a big difference to your Adsense income.

When your visitors first land on your website either from an article you’ve written, search engine traffic or forum signature, the first impression of your Adsense website is put to the test straight away.

They either love the website, read it, come back or click away to another website quickly. So you have to make a good first impression when they arrive on your website.

First of all, the design of your website or blog, needs to be pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. This will attract their attention and make them more willing to find out what your website is about.

Now that you’ve got their attention, you need them to stay longer to read most of your content so that they have time to click on the Adsense ads which interest them. The content on your website is what makes them stay. As long as the content is interesting, they will read it.

The next thing you need to work on is updated content. Whether it’s a blog or website, the content must be updated regularly. This will make the visitor return. This is so so so important.

You have managed to get a visitor to your website, don’t waste it. Make them return and become one of your regulars. This is why it is crucial to update your blog regualrly and use RSS feeds on your websites so that people will return to read what’s new.

And don’t forget, search engines love fresh content. The more traffic you get and the longer they stay, then the more chances of them clicking on your Adsense. Keep this in mind the next time you look at your website. Ask yourself “Is my website giving a good first impression?”.

“The Death of Adsense” continued…

October 7th, 2006

The marketing build up is over. The author created a really good buzz around the internet to advertise his alternative method to Adsense which is Click Flipping.

Needless to say, his two reports caused quite a stir in the community. There were experts like Joel Comm posting on forums defending that Adsense is not dead.

Far from it, Joel has seen his income increasing. The author of “The Death of Adsense”, Scott Boulch, is a man you should learn from. His marketing techniques worked brilliantly and he has driven tons of traffic to his websites no doubt.

Adsense is not dead but watch and learn.

Part 2 of “The Death of Adsense”?

September 24th, 2006

There are a lot of emails flying around with the subject “The Death of Adsense”. At first I thought Google announced some new policies and was clamping down on a lot of websites. Nope. It is an advert for a very good book called “The Death of Adsense”.

Right now, part 2 of the book is just released. It is called “Life After Adsense”. This is the ebook everyone was waiting for after reading part one “The Death Of Adsense”.

Both these Adsense ebooks are free, so check them out. You can’t lose.

Adsense site having lack of content?

September 21st, 2006

One of the concepts which I drill into the mind of everyone reading this blog is to write original content which is interesting to the readers, offers good advice, controversial and offsets people into thinking mode.

However, there comes a time when you’ve written all there is to write about. But what next? Give up? Hell no, of course not. Remember, persistency is the key.

There is always things to write about with keywords that can bring relevant Adsense clicks. You just have to have ideas. You can get these ideas easily by searching on the internet.

For example, if I’m stuck with nothing to write on Adsense, I’ll go to directories where I can search for articles relating to Adsense. Just by reading the titles and by scanning through some content, I immediatley have an idea and off to my blog I go. Simple and effective. Some of the article directories you can go are http://www.ezinearticles.com and http://www.goarticles.com Both excellent resources where you can learn and steal.

How To Drive Traffic To Your Adsense Sites - Part (One)

September 21st, 2006

I’ll need to use several sections to talk about driving traffic to your Google Adsense sites. I’ve filed these in the category Google Adsense sites, so you can refer back to them. Let’s get started.

One of the biggest problems with driving traffic to a website or a blog is when the topic is boring and the market which has interest is small. For example, how to smoke 2 packets of cigarettes per day may be a niche that is very small. People are all trying to give up smoking as you can see from all the information products on giving up smoking. Coming up with something the exact opposite may not work too well.I could be wrong though but I’m not going to try.

Therefore, the first thing you do to ensure your website will get traffic is to make sure that the topic of your website is popular. The more popular the topic is, the more Adsense there will be for the keywords.

To research on the topic, you can use a niche which you are interested in and search for it using the Google Search Engine. If there are millions of results for the keyword then you know that lots of people are interested.

Next, you look at the Adwords on the right hand side and see if there are many for the keyword phrase. After all, we’re all trying to make an income from Adsense. One of the tools which you use is WordTracker which I highly recommend. http://www.onlinemoneymachine.com/keywords

Wordtracker can be used to find good related keywords related to your niche, and you can use these keywords to further determine if the subject of your website is popular or not. So get to work and start researching on your niche.

Research successful Adsense sites

September 20th, 2006

Have you wondered how much successful websites with Adsense are making? Also what their wesbites look like. Well I’m afraid you are not going to find out.

I’m not being mean, but if you’re making a killing with your Adsense website, then I advise you not to tell anyone either. The reason is simple. If you know a website is making lots of money via Google Adsense, wouldn’t you want to study it and also copy its idea?

Furthermore, wouldn’t it be a good idea to compete with the person and build a similar website. If he’s having so much success it must be a good niche to be in. Exactly my point. Additionally a competitor may click on the Adsense repeatedly and cause the Adsense account to be shutdown.

So how do you find out how successful websites are using Adsense and how they are getting good ranking on the search engines? You need to learn to do research. This involves using search engines to find blogs which rank high and also tools which show a website’s ranking in popularity. Find these website then study how everything is laid out.

Purchase Customizable Adsense Sites

September 19th, 2006

As well as investing in cookie cutter websites, you would be better of purchasing Adsense websites which can be customized. There are some websites which offer you an interface where you can easily change the colors of your website, the placement of your Adsense code, activating the forums and blogs that are part of the website and also changing the graphic header.

These type of websites are more value for money because you can make them look different than the rest. Always think that for every Adsense website you purchase, there is a possible 50 or more people who have bought the same ones. Then you will take altering the content seriously. Do not expect to make money straight away after purchasing an established Adsense website. It will take a lot of time changing the layout, changing the content and updating it with fresh content. The work needs to be done but it will be worth it in the long run. Remember that you are building this business for the long run. Therefore make sure it is safe and the Google Adsense income is sustainable in the long run.

Some websites sell these type of websites. They are limited to a certain number of customers so quantity is limited and also there are lots of features which you can customize. The content they provide you is PLR (private resale rights). This means that you have the right to alter the article and also add your own name to the resource box. This is the type of website you need to purchase.

Niche Empire at http://www.niche-empire.com/?9 offers such a membership where you have 4 Adsense websites each month where you can customize and modify anyway you want. The quantity is limited to a maximum of a hundred members and also they have PLR articles which you can modify and submit to article directories and ezines to bring traffic to the websites.

Alter the content in ready-made Adsense sites

September 19th, 2006

There are now lots of Google Adsense sites that are available in the market where you can upload it onto your web host and start making money straight away. You have to be very cautious when purchasing these websites as you could have your Adsense account shutdown.

The problem is the content. The first thing you check when purchasing a Google Adsense site is the content. Make sure that the content is original and that it is keyword optimised. The content has to be attractive to the human reader as well as helpful for the search engines. If the topic was Blog advertising Google Adsense and in the first 2 paragraphs you stuff this phrase all over the place, then the reader will not make sense at what you are writing about.

This is called keyword stuffing and search engines especially Google, frown upon this. The key is to write for the reader so that they learn something from your content and that it is written in a simple attractive manner. Then you can go back and add keywords here and there to optimise it. Interesting content will make the visitor return and read your website and/or blog again and again.

After purchasing the website, be prepared to rewrite some of the articles and also write some comments here and there by yourself. These can be reviews or sponsoring others websites. This will make the content original. The person selling you the website could be selling hundreds of copies of it and you’ll get penalised by the search engines if you do nothing and upload it to your web host.

Ready made Adsense sites

September 19th, 2006

Instead of building your Google Adsense sites yourself, another alternative is to buy an already made one in ebay.com or other sites that sell established websites such as Sitepoint.com

You can buy all sorts of websites on ebay and Google Adsense sites are one of them. You need to take extra care when buying websites from ebay but there are great bargains to be found.

There are several things to look out for when purchasing in ebay for a Google Adsense site. One of them is checking the seller’s feedback. You can see how many items they have sold and also other buyer’s feedback on them. Needless to
say, stay away from people who have not sold many items and who have received negative feedback recently.

Next thing you should check is the actual Google Adsense site. Check to see if it has page rank and also check all the pages on the website to make sure that Adsense does indeed appear on them. Some seller’s will disable the Adsense code
when selling but you can ask them to enable them for about 5 minutes while you check out the pages. If they are serious sellers, then they don’t mind doing this for you.

Next thing you should check are the content. Run it via copyscape.com and you will see if it has taken content from other sites or it has its own original content. Website with their own original content are worth a lot more.

Last thing you do is to check that no similar websites are sold in ebay. This is to make sure that you are not buying a cookie cutter website that is available everywhere.

Happy bidding.

Getting your Google Adsense account closed

September 18th, 2006

It is very tempting to click on your Google Adsense sites and earn some money from Google. However, the advice is DON’T!!! One of the policies you agreed upon when signing up for the Google Adsense account is that you will not click on your own ads which is regarded as defrauding Google and the advertisers.

Google has a monitor system in place where it can detect if the clicks are coming from the own publisher and if there is any suspicous amount of clicking on the Adsense. Google is an intelligent system so don’t try and beat it. This relates to trying black hat techniques in ranking high on its search engine as well.

It is no surprise therefore that you do not see many people giving you examples of their Google Adsense sites especially when it is making money. People will copy the idea or worst, click on the Adsense and cause the publisher’s account to be closed by Google.

Incidences where Google have closed down innocent owner’s websites because of suspicion is not unheard of. So keep your Google Adsense sites to yourself. Make money privately and securely.
