Purchasing new Adsense products

December 5th, 2006

There is so many Adsense packages, memberships flying about that it’s really hard to make a decision on what to buy. Unless of course time and money is not a problem for you. When choosing these current “hot” offers, there are several things I look at before typing my credit card information into the order form.

Here’s my checklist. Enjoy.

1. Read the sales letter. Make a list of the features it has.

2. Compare the features of the product to the existing ones which you may already have. Does it really provide something which you don’t have.

3. With the list of features jotted down, imagine what you can do with it and when you can use it. If you find that you won’t have time to use the membership or the features are similar to the products you have already, then stop. Don’t buy because it’s new and that it’s limited. There’s always a better product being produced.

4. Check the owner of the product. Are they well-known and respectable? If there are question marks then search the internet. You are bound to find some information on them if they have a rep.

5. Take a note if other well-known internet marketers are promoting the same product. These maketers do not promote just anyone as they have a reputation to live up to. Therefore they won’t recommmend something they haven’t tried before.

6. Study the bonuses. Sometimes the bonuses are better than the actual product. If you find some bonuses that you need then get it just for the bonus. eg. A one hour business consultation by Mr. Famous Guru.

7. Read the sales letter and then leave it at the side for at least 2 days. If you still want to buy the product then go for it. A lot of the times we buy on impulse and regret it later.

The rocket science in Adsense income

November 1st, 2006

I just came back from China, Guangzhou on a field trip learning about the importing business in China. It was organized by Brad Fallon with the likes of John Reese and Jason Potash tagging along. You can read the sales page for the trip at http://www.chinafieldtrip.com/tripdetail.html

The trip opened my mind to the amount of opportunities out there. There’s money to be earned everywhere, especially China.

Sharing the experiences with other entrepreneurs was itself worth the trip. Exchanging contacts, tips and experiences. There was one thing which I noticed with the majority of the successful attendees there.

They were all ACTIONers. They took action. It was no rocket science what they were doing.

Some were in their early 20s and were already earning comfortably with their own business. This may shock some of you. Not one of them had any special abilities or talent. At least they did not share it with me :-)

All of them were down to earth people who learns, networks and works hard. I’ve seen this myself. There is no secret. Just learn and apply.

Some of you’ve been reading this blog for quite some time. I’ve recommended tools and memberships such as http://www.niche-empire.com to boost your Adsense income. It just requires action and persistence. There’s no rocket science to it - no secrets.

Are you reading and applying what you’ve learnt? Or just reading and then searching for the next topic that interests you?

I was especially surprised with Brad Fallon. He is a smart guy but very very down to earth. We went drinking with him and he’s just like any other normal bloke out having a good time. He really shared his experiences with us and didn’t hold anything back. Respect to you Mr. Brad Fallon.

Enough blogging for now. I’ve got work to do.

Make use of your blog postings to boost your Adsense income

October 20th, 2006

Feel free to forward the article below to people who you think will benefit. As long as they keep the resource box unchanged.

Article: Making use of your blog posts to boost your Adsense income

By Alan Cheng

You have a blog which you are posting everyday. There’s good
targeted traffic but it’s not enough. You cannot have too much
traffic. You can make use of your blog posts to increase your
exposure and drive your Adsense clicks through the roof.

One of the best techniques to leverage the resources you already
have is to categorize your blog posts. For example, during the past
month’s you will have around nearly 30 postings. Go through your
postings and sort them so that you have around 5 posting
for each category.

With these categories copy and paste the postings so that you have
one piece of article. YOu will need to write an introductory
paragraph and to explain what your article is about and then
modify the content of your posts so that you are explaining useful
points.

For instance, you could mention in the introductory paragraph that
you will discuss the problems people have with Adsense layouts.

Next you will give some good tips on design the best Adsense layout
to get the maximum CTR (Click thru rate) and how it has worked in
your testing.

These points are taken from your postings so there should be no
shortage of ideas. It will be a relatively easy article to write
as you already have the content written.

At the end write a short concluding paragraph and then write a resource
box which explains who you are and the URl of your blog.

What you have done here is make use of your month’s blog postings
and wrote an article with it. Now with this article you need
to submit it to various article directories and ezines.

After your article is submitted, you will see a spur of traffic
visiting your website. These are targetted traffic that is interested
in the information your blog or website offers.

Targetted visitors are most likely to click on your Adsense as they
are actually looking for the particular information.

Don’t forget, you should have 5 articles for your postings and you can
submit them weekly. You are marketing your blog weekly, and the good
thing is the articles will be driving traffic to your website for years
to come since they are out on the web.

I’ve always said Adsense is a numbers game. The more targetted traffic
you have, the more clicks you will get. And if you update your website/blog
regularly, the vistors will return. Do you see the power of this?

There are some points you have to note when using article marketing approach.

1. Your resource box has to be attractive. It is where people read who the
author is and what their website is. A good technique is to link the concluding
remark to your resource box.
For example, you can summarise by saying good software is essential to
creating Adsense sites continously. Then in your resource box, mention your
website and that there is a mini-course on selecting a good Adsense website builder.
This is very effective. If the person is interested in your article, they
will definitely check out your link and get more information.

2. Submitting your articles. There are lots of places where you can submit
your articles to that can give you exposure and backlinks. Actually there
is too many of them. Submitting to them by hand will take you several hours.
If this becomes your weekly task then you will quit shrotly.
There are tools and services which can help you to submit your articles
that are related to your niche. You can send an email to my autoresponder
adarticles@adsense-blogger.com for a list of recommended tools and services
which I use to submit my articles.

3. There is never the rule of having too many articles. The more articles you
have the more exposure you will get. This is the cheapest and most effective
technique I know of to drive traffic to your website. Bear in mind that the
traffic will be coming to your website in the long run. Some people will read it
2 years down the line. It is that powerful.

So put your writing hat on and get those articles out on the internet.
Don’t forget to read up on useful resources on Adsense because at the end
of the day, we want Adsense to give us a nice income on the side.

How to use Adsense cleverly on your blog

October 10th, 2006

Placing Adsense on your blog is easy. A simple copy and paste action and you’ve setup your website to make money. However, you need to know when to place Adsense ads and where to place them and how to place them. This is what divides the successful Adsense website builders from the not-so-successful Adsense website builders. You need to use Adsense cleverly on your website.

Here are my findings you can use which has worked well for me to increase your Adsense income.

There has been a lot of discussion of people throwing-up when they see Adsense on a blog. They see the blog as a vehicle to earn income from Adsense and the blog itself has no value. After seeing some awful blogs, I agree.

What you need to do is place Adsense on your blog which blends with your website. Take away those borders and change the colors. Make it look as though it is part of your website. This will lessen the preconceived notion others have with Adsense blogs.

Next, you need to post regularly to your blog. I have to admit that regularly means daily. I have tests that show missing a day or two with blogging, generally affects the traffic to your blog. So get some postings ready for times when you are busy.

With good daily updated content on your blog, people will not mind that your blog has Adsense on them. You have to understand that people are looking for information. If you give them what they want, they will return and click on some Adsense ads which are of interest to them in time.

Daily blogging with good content will make people forget your blog is built for Adsense income. They will appreciate that you are making money since you are spending so much time offering them content.

I find that using horizontal Adsense ads are very effective. These are called leaderboards which span across the website. I normally place these at the top of the website so that my regular readers will see them first thing when they visit.

I also find that ad links are very effective. These are Adsense ads that only show the category of ads and have no description. They look like menu bars. People need to click on the ad link, see a list of related Adsense and click on them again before you are paid.

Though it requires 2 clicks to generate Adsense income for you, I find that this sort of ad is very effective. The good thing is Google does not count ad links towards the number of Adsense ads you can have on your website (which is 3 by the way).

Next, if you’re writing a post on your blog, make sure that you place Adsense right after you mention an interesting point. It could be the revealing of a finding or some breaking news with your niche.

The reason is that people are drawn to your content at that moment and seeing related Adsense ads beside it will help the click thru rate.

For your last Adsense ad, I would suggest placing it on the left hand side of your blog. Preferably you will have a sign up box for a newsletter or mini-course there, and place your Adsense under it.

We humans read from left to right and from top to bottom. The top left portion of your blog is viewed the most when they visit your blog. Make use of this space.

Use these suggestions to place your ads and increase the Adsense clicks. They have worked for me. I suggest you test out a lot of these and see for yourself.

There are many membership sites that sell Adsense templates such as www.niche-empire.com that has good website content, step by step training and webhosting which you can start to use immediately for your Adsense business. Many of these are optimized with Adsense already so it will save you a lot of work. Learn how the templaes are structured and take action on your own blogs or websites.

Increasing your Adsense Revenue

October 8th, 2006

There are lots of PLR (Private Label Rights) articles available now which you can use on your website or blog advertising Google Adsense. PLR means that you can later the content however you want. You can also add your name to the bottom to say that you’re the author.

No matter how well your Adsense layouts are placed, how good an Adsense website builder you are and how many Google Adsense sites you have, you need good content for this business to work. You can’t argue with that statement.

You must not create Adsense websites especially for Adsense clicks. It’s against Google’s policy. Therefore, it’s a wise decision to also advertise your own products and affiliate programs. This will give you more income opportunities and also makes you a good citizen. So you have no reason not to do it.

Blogging is a very good way to make your Adsense income. This is because you can continuously post and therefore create a reader base so that they return and read your blog.

For normal websites, updating them is a little more difficult and therefore advertising them is harder. The key is not to give up and keep delivering good content for your websites. The search engines love websites that have regular updated content. Human readers also love websties with much updated information.

Therefore, you will get more traffic as time goes on. The more traffic you get, the more clicks on your Adsense you will get. It’s as simple as that.

Tracking your Adsense clicks

September 26th, 2006

One of the most crucial ongoing task with your blog advertising Google Adsense clicks is tracking the results. This means knowing where the clicks are coming from and where they are going.

This is very valuable information. I cannot emphasise this enough. With this information you will know where to concentrate on generating traffic, what your readers are thinking and also if your changes in Adsense placements and colors are effective.

One of the websites you must bookmark now is http://www.mybloglog.com

This is a free membership. There is also a paid membership which is very cheap. What it can do is track your visitors to your blog by having one line of javascript in your blog. It is very simple and effective.

A must have tool. Check the website out to start with now. It’s free and if you like it you can upgrade later. I’ll talk about this tool in the next few days.

Comments can increase your Adsense income - Part Two

September 21st, 2006

In part one, I talked about using comments from your friends and taking action. Of course, I forgot to mention to you, take the comments and test them. Your friend is not always right. He or she may have some weird views so monitor the CTR after placing changing your blogs using their comments.

The next type of comments that can increase your Adsense income is comments that you and others place on the blogs. Lots of bloggers don’t do this they don’t realise how much traffic they are losing because of this.

You should be regualarly posting to your blogs and also at the same time, actively commenting on other people’s blogs that are related to yours. This is very important because what you are essentially doing is creating one way backlinks to your blog.

So what is so good about other blogs linking to your blog? Well one of the reasons that some websites rank high in the search engine results is because they have a lot of one-way links to their websites. This is considered a very important part in SEO. You need to do this.

So do a search in Google and find blogs which are related to your niche and post your comments. Look out for part 3 of this section where we talk about how to post your comments.

Comments can increase your Adsense income - Part One

September 21st, 2006

The title above can have 2 meanings - and they are both right.

The first kind of comment is comments from friends or people on forums. You’ve created a website, spent time placing the Adsense units on it, and you want to drive traffic to your blog advertising Google Adsense. Don’t waste that energy and don’t be shy like a lot of adsense website builders.

Go and ask your friends to give comments on your blog or website. Especially the content on them which should be interesting and intriguing. This is so important I cannot emphasise it enough. Your friends’ comments should be the best since they know you and will tell you their honest opinion. Your task is to take these honest opinion and act on them.

What you need to know is that it is nothing personal. Expect bad comments rather than good comments. Take bad comments as an improvement to your blog advertising Google Adsense. You should be happy that you are gaining knowledge and chances of earning a bigger Google Adsense check has increased.

Friends are valuable to everyone in this world. This is one of the reasons why :-)

In part two, I will discuss the other kind of comment which will increase your Adsense income.

Persistence is the key.

September 20th, 2006

How many times have you heard these phrases?

Search engine love blogs.
It is the hip thing now to own a blog.
People write about what they like in blogs and earn money for doing it.
Google Adsense goes well with blogs.

In a nutshell, there is no reason why you should not have a blog advertising Google Adsense and making a profit doing so. So why don’t every Tom, Dick or Harry is making money from blogs then?

The answer lies in lacking one of things mentioned above and giving up too easily.

Persistence is what you should concentrate on. Get it into your head that you will not see much result from your blogs when you initially start out. Don’t give up but continue to post to your blogs what you like and interested in. Do not concentrate on the Adsense income yet, but continue to advertise your blog and tell people about it. Make sure the content is regularly updated and the important keywords are littered in appropriate places.

A seed needs to time to water and grow into a flower. So does your blog which will eventually drive your Adsense checks for you.

Content make people revisit

September 19th, 2006

Your blog advertising Google Adsense needs lots of promotion to drive traffic so that significant clicks occur and of course more income. You should always keep in mind that it is a human being that will click on the Adsense. So ask yourself, why would they come to my site and click on the Adsense?

People will visit websites because that website has interesting information which they will want to read. Information on your blog if updated regularly, will cause them to continuously revisit your site. Therefore keeping your blog updated will surely keep the visitors returning. Once they read your regular updated blog, they would see Adsense which are related to their interest and thus, they will click on them. It’s as simple as that.

What does this tell us? It tells us that the blog advertising Google Adsense must have good content around a particular theme. Something which is a person will think of revisiting time and time again to get more information of the topic that spices up their interest. So get to work on your content before thinking about income and driving traffic to your blog. One of the modifications you can do after drafting your interesting post is to sprinkle it with keywords related to the theme you want the Adsense to show up. However, the content must be still readable by the human.
